The four-rib screw reinforcing steel produced by the Tula Metal Rolling Plant has been officially included in the working documentation for Kursk NPP-2.
On 25.09.2025, at a meeting held at Atomstroyexport JSC, it was announced that the technical requirements for reinforcement in the working documentation of Kursk NPP-2 (Units 3 and 4) include the use of A500SP reinforcing steel with a four-rib profile without longitudinal ribs, in accordance with TU 24.10.62-014-84936644-2023 for nuclear power plant construction. In addition, the A500SP profile has been recommended for use in the construction of Smolensk NPP-2 and Leningrad NPP-2.
Tula Metal Rolling Plant reinforcing steel continues to demonstrate its effectiveness at strategically important facilities — where reliability and precision become the foundation of safety and development of Russia’s nuclear energy sector.
Currently, TMPZ, together with the A. A. Gvozdev Research Institute of Concrete and Reinforced Concrete and Atomstroyexport JSC, is successfully implementing a project for the further development of mechanical coupling technology using the “ARMOVINT” screw reinforcement system.
